Chin Woo Kung Fu

Max Khaihra

Max Khaihra is a seasoned instructor in Chin Woo Kung Fu with over 15 years of coaching experience. He has had the honor of training numerous national, European, and world champions in both Taolu (forms) and Sanda kickboxing.

Before recently relocating to Boston from London, Max served as the Head Coach of the Amersham branch of the British Institute for Chinese Martial Arts. Additionally, he coached the adult program at Wembley and conducted after-school programs. His coaching experience also extends to prestigious institutions like Eton College.

Max is a distinguished martial artist, having achieved multiple titles as the British Champion in both Taolu (Open Hand and Weapons) and Sanda, as well as the European Champion in Taolu (Open Hand and Weapons) and a Silver Medalist in Sanda. He is also a World Champion in Taolu (Open Hand and Weapons), showcasing his exceptional skill and dedication to the art.

Strength and Conditioning

Max is a Westside Barbell qualified athletic trainer with expertise in strength and conditioning for various sports. His personalized training programs focus on enhancing athletic performance while promoting injury prevention and overall fitness.

He founded and ran the strength and conditioning program at the British Institute for Chinese Martial Arts in London for several years, helping team squad members enhance their performance and achieve their goals.

Max is a seasoned competitor in Olympic lifting and placed 7th in the UK in his weight category in 2019 and has competed internationally in Cyprus.
